Wednesday Programme

Seminars, 2.30pm - 3.45pm

POWER EVANGELISM
Robby Dawkins - AUDITORIUM

Robby will talk about equipping your church for Power Evangelism. John Wimber lamented to the U.S. AVC board during his years in ministry that the Vineyard had not really taken a hold of Power Evangelism as he had hoped. He stated, “It’s not that Power Evangelism doesn’t work, it’s just that in the Vineyard, it has never really been tried.” How do we take up that challenge and find out why Wimber saw it as so important for the movement. Brace yourself for impact in your cities.

GETTING HIS VISION FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE
Jim Denison - F1

What are you going to do with the rest of your days? How do you know that you won’t have any regrets? The key? God breathed ‘vision’. This workshop is intended to equip you with resources that will make it possible for you to find your own personal vision so that you can say with Paul, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith”. No regrets.

Jim and Korenne Denison planted Canterbury Vineyard in 2007 after being Assistant Pastors at St. Albans Vineyard. They have been married for 13 years and have four children. Jim is originally from Los Angeles and is compelled by a vision of the potential and possibilities of the church in this generation.

WORSHIP - WHAT ON EARTH ARE WE DOING?
Nigel Briggs, Dave Miller & Justin Wightman - G4

The call to worship is simple; to glorify God. Today there is a huge amount of music, literature, celebrity etc. surrounding that simple call. Sometimes we wonder whether we have overcomplicated things. We would love to spend some time unpacking the simple beginnings of what is Vineyard worship. Come and join us.

Nigel, Dave and Justin are all part of the worship team at Trent Vineyard.

ALL THE SINGLE LADIES!
Jude Bagguley & Susie Aldridge - F3

Leading as a single woman comes with its own challenges but also a great freedom to serve Jesus. Jude and Susie will be sharing some of their experiences and the joy of leading as single women. Both men and women are welcome.

Jude and Susie are on the Pastoral Staff at Trent Vineyard.

FORUM - FOR STUDENT LEADERS
John Clarke - F5

Students are the key to the future of the church and this country. Come and hear a fresh perspective on student mission and stories of churches finding new ways of connecting with students. John will give us a snapshot of what is going on across the UK with space to look at your own strategy. If you have a heart for students, this forum is for you! Our time will be dedicated, through
teaching and group interaction, to how we can best reach this generation.

John Clarke is the Senior Assistant Pastor at Hull Vineyard and leader of the VCUKI Student Taskforce.

Seminars, 4.15pm - 5.15pm

POWER EVANGELISM REPEATED
Robby Dawkins - AUDITORIUM

This session is a repeat of his earlier seminar. Please see the previous seminar section.

GATHERING MOMENTUM
James & Jen Rankine - F1

This is a practical seminar for recent church plants and small churches, looking at some key Kingdom principles for strengthening and enabling the church to thrive and grow. We will address some of the attitudes and dynamics that need to be present for the church to gather momentum and change the culture around them.

James and Jen lead Cardiff Vineyard which planted three years ago and the Cause To Live For (20-30s) network in the Vineyard.

COMPASSION & JUSTICE
Tom & Helen Murphy - G4

Jesus spent Himself on the least, the last and the lost. Compassion and justice were hallmarks of His life. It was often with the poor that signs and wonders were seen and mercy was expressed. Are we doing likewise and following in His footsteps?

Tom and Helen Murphy are Associate Pastors at Trent Vineyard. They love life and all that they do!

WHO LEADS THE CHURCH; WHY GOVERNANCE MATTERS
Jeremy Cook & David Flowers - F3

What is church governance, who is doing the governing and is it really necessary? Often we think of the financial and legal matters negatively; however governance should not be a burden but a resource. This seminar is designed to demystify the whole process of governance, with simple ways to help you structure your church governance. The seminar is primarily designed for Senior Pastors and trustees, but is also useful for church planters and senior leaders.

Jeremy Cook is the chair of the VCUKI board of trustees, Chief Executive of Vineyard Records and Senior Pastor of Hull Vineyard. David Flowers is a trustee of VCUKI and Stewardship and Senior Pastor of Wharfedale Vineyard. Both trustees and business men, they have a wealth of experience in this field.

IF YOU DON’T TELL THEM, HOW WILL THEY KNOW?
Mark Crosby - F5

Churches have never had so many communication tools at their disposal, but how, where, why and when do we communicate so that our churches grow? This seminar will cover practical examples, implementation and tips for churches of all shapes and size, including internal and external communication.

Mark is the Director of Communications for VCUKI, serves at Leicester City Vineyard and runs a marketing agency.
